I have the Hornady single stage lnl.

As far as the powder, unless you know absolutely what powder you have, and you can find load data for it specifically for 9mm Luger, I wouldn't touch it. If you do try to load with it and aren't 100% sure, you could blow up your gun or worse and end up hurting yourself or bystanders with flying shrapnel.

Find some good pistol powder, like Unique or Titegroup, to use and then you'll be good.

"ejecta" = recoil

OP, suggest Titegroup for least recoil.

And be thinking about recoil spring weight.....

Op, My plinking load for 9mm fmj is:
4.2 gr. titegroup
Hornady 115gr. fmj
col.1.150
cci 500 primer
This shoots a lot like Fed. champion factory ammo.
I also bought bulk bullets from http://www.evergladesammo.com/bullet...html?caliber=6
They gave me data for a start load of:
4.2gr. titegroup
Everglades ammo 115 gr. fmj
col. 1.135
cci 500 primer
They shoot great and both these loads cycle flawlessly in my SR9c. For $51 for 500 bullets, free shipping, they are well worth it.

Another option ... I got offer Russian-made pistol gun powder. (surplus powder)
No name. Information is only a charge. 7.62 x 25 Tokarev Ammo: 5.5 grams FMJ bullet, 0.6 grams powder. Powder burn rate is very fast.

This powder can not be used to reload 9mm Luger? With a smaller amount?

Thank you ...
That powder should work very well in 9mm (it is probably *not* very fast, but closer to HS-6 or AA#7.) But I don't know how you would work up a safe load without more information.
