Ruger SR1911 Holster
Does anyone have any recommendations for a good IWB or paddle holster for a Ruger SR1911 that won't scratch it up. It would be nice to have one that i could sit down with, but its probably hard for the size. Something that i could use for concealment.
I have one Fobus paddle holster for my sigma and its not very comfortable especially when sitting down with it on. |

If you are truly worried about "scratching it up" wipe it down, place it in the safe and never, never remove it from the safe again. Thus no scratches
Holster wear gives a gun character and class. I'll ask this, have you ever owned a new car? If you have or do is it just like the day you first sat in it before leaving the dealer say 6-12 months later ???? ??????

why would i want scratches on my new gun, you can scratch yours and ill keep mine looking good
Yes i know what you mean by not caring as much a year down the road as you do when its new, but still im going to take care of it. I have many older guns i have had for years and i still keep them clean. Im just saying some holsters are pretty crappy and could leave scratches, i dont care about rub marks you can wipe off |

Horsehide has a nice smooth grain on the flesh side. That would be my choice for IWB.

skipping that part
Milt Sparks Holsters, Inc.
Galco Alessi Rosen others..... Holsters are utterly personal, as is the 'appearance' of your gun with holster 'wear'. You decide. I don't care how my guns look; I care how they perform.

Tommy Theis (http://theisholsters.com/index.php) makes a nice IWB. I'm very happy with the Theis that I use, but I would expect a little holster wear, to be honest. That doesn't bother me, but it's not my gun we're talking about. Also, I seem to recall one of the holster makers (Tucker Gunleather?) making an IWB leather/kydex with a lining on the inside of the kydex. I think it's Tucker's The Answer, but I'm not entirely sure.
