Hey guys im a relatively new shooter. Me and my buddies were talking about shooting long range and they said they could make a 300+ yard shot with a 20 to 30 mph wind. All they said is that they would just make the adjustments on the scope but im not sure. Is this possible to make a good shot in these conditions?

thanks i was just wondering if it could be done but i mean is it that probable that your going to be hunting in strong wind gusts?

Go to 29 Palms and check out a 1000 yard match. You'd be supprise what one could do when shooting in the wind.

Can they make a 300 yard shot? Have you seen them make a 100 yard shot yet when the wind is blowing?

Got that right. One year the wind was blowing so hard I had to hold over two target frames. But I got on paper. The Range officer told the pits to pull the targets when their shooter quit or finished to keep them from getting tore up. The guy who's target I was using quit and they pulled my referance target. Cost me 30 points to get back on paper.

That place will humble you.
