10 gauge

i have a friend that says he has a 10 gauge double barrel that side breaks instead of down. anyone ever see or heard of such.he is supposed to bring it to me. will get brand and numbers if he does.

It may be a Britte action. French or Belgian, possibly made in between the Wars.

Not many around, I've not seen a 10 gauge yet.

sweet gun, value no idea, but I tell him to hang on to it unless of you course your trying to buy it. BTW hows the bore condition? Is the outside rusty or is that just the camera?

bluing is gone not as rusty as pic looks. looks like just carried a lot not pitted.

Fox Dbl Barrel 10 Gauge

My brother has my grandfathers(rest his soul)Fox dbl barrel 10 gauge goose gun. I remember duck hunting with it as a kid in the late 40's. The original shell casings are still being used today reloads.

i wrote down all visible marking. dont know how to get fore grip off. not one to tinker with someone elses gun. but under large magnifying glass the barrel has swirls on that i would call it the so-called wire twist barrel.
