1970s UBERTI 1851 pistol nipple size, replacements?

Looking for any info on the correct size and where to purchase replacement nipples for a 1970's UBERTI trademark stamped brass framed 1851 colt replica marked on the barrel NAVY ARMS RIDGEFIELD NJ .44 cal black powder pistol. Reading on various boards the web I purchased a set of 12/28 however these were too small in diameter and too long. Please see photos, any help will be appreciated. Thanks

Thank you for the reply and info, will order shortly and let you know how they fit! Now if I can only get the 2 remaining fused rusted stripped nipples out! Might have to use the SPEED OUT screw extractor kit?

Update, ordered The Track of the Wolf nipples as recommended (cheaper in price) however they also seem not to fit.
While the threads seem to be correct, the thread stud is too long and the nipple sits too high in the cylinder, it would not tighten down any deeper.
44 Dave, looking at these photos will the ones you recommended fit? thanks

The threads in the cylinder should go all of the way through, but may be corroded. Does the nipple match from flange to top? You may be able to chuck then in a drill and file the diameter to fit in the recess in the cylinder.

Caution if the nipple is to high the recoil may set off the cap next to the one fired if it is slammed against the recoil shield (multiple discharge) it happened to mine before I got short enough nipples.

The thread is 6 x .75 mm. your hardware store 6mm is x1. You would need a gun smith supply for that size.
May be able to clean them enough with rust solv. and brass cleaning brush.

Thanks all for the information. I purchased the correct tap and ran it thru the 4 open cylinders and the nipples I purchased fit and seat correct. Now I have to drill out the 2 remaining stuck/rusted nipples and re-tap. Probably won't shoot till spring but I'll continue this topic when I do. Thanks again for all the help!
