Quote Question

I posted a scan of a few paragraphs from a P. O. Ackley book that's around fifty years old and out of print.

See post #11 of thread http://thefiringline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=459040.

Is this a policy violation? If so, please delete.

It's ok since the book was copyrighted before 1978 (a magical date in the copyright world), the copyright expired 28 years after the publishing date.

I have the same book and it is "Copyright 1962". It doesn't have the usual wording indicating that the copyright was renewed (it can be renewed for 67 years).
