Waters musket??
What can you guys tell me about Water's muskets? I know someone who has one and I'm wondering what the history of them is as well as possible value. I think its stamped 1830 or 40 something. I want to say 1836.
Anything you can come up with would be great. |

Asa Waters, Millbury Mass. model 1816 was made from 1817 - 1836 as a flintlock. Many were converted to percussion during the first part of the War Against Northern Aggression.

Thanks Hawg! I'm pretty sure this is 1836 now and it's still a flintlock. Its in very nice shape too, no rust or pitting just a really nice brown patina.
