What do you think of the grips?

I just picked up some VZ Diamond Back Grips in Hyena Brown for my CZ 75 SP-01. The grips are pretty rough / aggressive in texture to improve your grip on the gun. I think they look pretty cool.

They are cool looking grips.

Hope you like them better than I did the grips that came on my Remington R1.

They were the typical 1911 double diamond grips, but the checkering was also very aggressive to the "point, pun intended" they were like a food grater. I pulled them off and saved them. I had a set off an old Colt M1911 from around the early 1900's. I put them on. They were nicely worn and made shooting much nicer.

Yeah, they are really aggressive. I was shooting a steel challenge match a month ago and noticed my gun moving around a bit in my hand with the stock grips. I thought I'd try these out. Time will tell if they are an improvement over the originals. I'll use them in some upcoming range sessions and IDPA and steel challenge matches to see how they work out.

VZ offers less aggressive grips - Tactical Diamonds and Frag for CZ pistols. The DiamondBacks are the most aggressize grips they offer. I though I'd try the DiamondBacks first.

I use a number of my handguns in training classes where we will shoot hundreds of rounds a day for up to 4 days in a row.

Those don't look like they would be much fun in such a class.....am I right?

Focodude,

Do you really want to know what many of us might think about those grips?

UncleEd, sure I do. I'm particularly interested to learn from others experience. I have no experience with these types of grips yet.

Great looking grips, I was looking to get some G10 grips for my Beretta since they seem to be thinner than wood and stronger.
