I just acquired a MkII "Government Target Model" whose serial # prefix is "210". The Ruger factory site does not list this series, it begins "modern" numeration with "211" and goes up from there through the mid80s through the 90s. Can you help me find year of manufacture and anything else of significance about this paper puncher?

According to my records and the ser # you are presenting this should be the stainless Government MOdel. This model, Stainless, falls into the Sr # range of 210-0000 to 210-18600. My records also indicate that there are only a couple of dozen of these in civilian hands. NIB value is $1,000.00

Hope this is of some help.

Harley, thank you for your prompt response. It is not new but I have the box. In TOTAL IGNORANCE, myself as the buyer and the other guy as the seller, I paid $175.00 for that Mk II. H wanted $200, I offered $150... Oh, lordy! Now I am going to be too nervous to shoot it.
