Welcome. Rifle reloading is no harder than handgun. A great tool on this forum is the search button. You can use it to see if your question has already been answered in a previous thread. Good luck!!!

no the full length is all you need... you either use a full length for the entire case.... or. a neck sizer.... never both

Ok i got it! so the full length sizing die set is the set i need then. Now with the pistol dies i have the decapper and case sizeing die is all in one die.Thats not so with the rifle dies i need to decap the case and then run it threw the full length sizing die.Correct??

you said that you have a lee press.. you can get a lee RGB die set that is just the sizer die and the bullet seat die... that is all that you need... for rifle you do not need a crimp die....

I think i have an idea for the factory crimp die.It crimps the case to the bullet not sure what the other one is for?? Sorry about all the questions i`am new to rifle reloading.I`ve done alot of pistol and revolver bullets i know how to do those

if you get the set with three dies in it... one is the decapper/sizer die, one is the bullet seater die, and the other is the crimp die... which you dont generally use on rifle rds... that is why its usually cheaper to get the two die set.

rgb is just the fancy term that lee made up for REALLY GREAT BUY... that is what they call the two die set... it is still a full sizer... just like the one in the three die set... just that it saves you money because it doesnt include the crimp die that you dont need

Ok i was on the site a while ago and tried to figure out what all the different rifle dies were for.I know what all the pistol and revolver dies are for.So for the 30/30 and the .308 i need the RGB die set and the 30/40 krag i`am gonna have to get the full length die set.Now with the powder scale i think i got that just about figured out.Now with the case sizer how dose that work??

when you first put the sizer die on your press.... thats the one with the decapper pin on it... you lube the case before you put it in the press...then when you run it thru the first time it will knock the primer out and size the entire case...including the neck...all at the same time.

Ok it dose the same thing as the pistol decapping and sizeing dies i have. With the bullet seating die for my pistol dies it seats and crimps the case all in one die.

its really not much diff than pistol loading... cases are longer ... charges in powder are greater.... different primers...... bullets are bigger.... thats pretty much the skinny of it.
