Brass

I just bought some "once fired" 308 Lake City from a internet co. When swagering primer pockets I found 50% have already been done. Do all LC 09 and 10 headstamps have crimped pockets?

As far as I know, they do. Only exception would be the LR stuff in which case it would annotate that in the head stamp.

Depending on who you bought the brass from and what their source was would likely answer the question of if it is all truly "Once fired" or just "Range" brass?

That said I having processed many many military true once fired surplus cases I can say that they don't all "require" swagging to take a new primer but, in the name of uniformity I think they should all get the same treatment.

If the crimp has been removed, they have been reloaded already. No way.for the company to know how much range p/u has been shot. Don't worry about and just inspect the cases as you should

I contacted the brass company and they said they would replace brass. I said don't worry about it.
