Crow was eatin' my corn!! Not anymore!!

These crows are very wary down here I guess they've been shot at a few times for raidin' people's crops.

I finally got my crosshairs on one long enough to squeeze off a good shot. He was 183 yards away I lasered the range after the shot. There's not much left to hang up in the field but I guess enough to keep them out!

The .223 Encore is really doin' well for me. That's 13 for 13 shots from my deck on starlings and one crow! Oh yeah my portable shootin' bench is doin' a cracker jack job also!

That little 50 grain Sierra left one leg and one wing both hangin' by a thread. Hamburgered most of his body good thing I don't eat crow cause they wasn't enough left to fill my holler tooth!

Nice plinkin'! I need a .22mag or .17HMR as crows are always out past 100 yards here too!

Pretty skinny crow. Would recommending feeding him-they like corn.

Note my nom-de-plume; I like the Speer 50 grain spitzer and the 52 grain original HP myself. The SP leaves some for the pot; the HP leaves a puff of feathers. Save some for jig and fly tying. The difference between humiliation and humility is that humiliation involves eating crow; humility means having a good recipe in the book for them.

His brother came around lookin' for him today! I'm afraid he is also takin' a dirt nap! LOL!

That little .223 is 17 for 17 so far!

Here's what I saw after the shot, the scope is set on about 18X.

Here's what I saw when I stepped up to the crow who was 185 yards away!

My,My, does someone have a new hobby? HEHEHE. You have to shoot the lookout first, and THEN the ones on the ground. They'll fly over to the dead one and try to get him to stop lying down and get on with crow business. If you shoot the boss bird, then they have to have a union meeting or at least a quorum to decide who the new boss is. I love pasting those D*** birds; they almost act human at times. LOL! Good shooting. NEXT?

The only time I got a shot off at one was when the lead bird would land in my pine tree waiting for the the "suits" to catch up... than they would go as a murder across the street and there they seemed to ALL be lookout. So I just modifyed my hunt to step on the back porch and ease back until I could just see him over the roof...
A long range shooter like that would have helped tons but a .22lr is a very limited crow popper.

Nice setup. Slap a suppressor on that and you won't scare the others away as much.
