Metalform Magazine Disassembly

Seven round 1911 magazines, the ones with the rounded metal follower....are they disassembled and put back together the same as regular, fixed floor plate, GI mags?

Subscribed to this one. I have three of these Metalform mags. Used them for years without deep cleaning, they have never failed me, but may someday.

Pretty much, but that skirt at the nose of the follower is a pain in the neck. You have to lock the spring pretty far down to be sure you can rotate the follower completely clear of the spring.

Right, and needle nose pliers to pluck the follower out are a help, too.

I would use a ultrasonic cleaner to clean the magazines, if available.
