Many companies make Mauser 98 scope bases, so a lot would depend upon exactly what's wanted - like a clip-on Weaver-style base/ring, or a turn-in style Leupold/Burris/etc.
Just be mindful, that after a decision's made, some bases are made shorter over the rear bridge, so that the Mauser's clip-loading slot needn't be ground flush - and some are not, necessitating receiver bridge grinding/refinishing/etc - or the base be modified likewise. Almost any ring/base brand can be had at discount, online at www.swfa.com . |
