S&W 500 reloading question

I've been loading my 500 brass with 39.0 gr of H110 & 350 gr berry's bullets. I'm getting to the 3rd time using the brass and not sure how much more I can reload them safety.

I haven't seen any pressure signs and 39.0 is considered the starting load.

Anyone else reloading 500 brass and how many times did you reload your brass?

I'm up to 7 times as of right now-figure I'll take them up to 10 then buy a new batch.

Excellent, I guess I'm good for another 3-5 more times on my current brass.

With all revolver brass I use it till it splits. When I had my .460 mag using max loads, 300gr XTP with 44grains of Lil'Gun I would get about 8 reloads before the brass was ruined.

Not exactly the same thing, but my 30/40AI cases had close to 20 loadings on them, neck sized only, when I found an incipient separation, so scrapped them all and started fresh. As far as my straight wall cases I load moderate loads, I do not size, neither do I crimp, so the door is wide open as to how long they will last. GW

None of my shooting is done in ultra-competitive settings where .01 MOA is making a difference. As such, I reload every case I have for both rifles as well as handguns until they fail.

I have found that it takes A LOT of firings until the neck splits or primers get loose. At least 15-18 on handgun rounds, and 10-12 on most rifle rounds, and this is when the first failures on a couple of cases from a batch show up, other go 10+ more.

They will last a long time as long as you do NOT load them hot. Where you are loading at they will last for at lest 10 reloading, Good Luck

When I had a 500 I was running I think 42.5 ro maybe it was 41.5gr behind the Sierra 350gr JFP bullet. About halfway between bottom and top end loads.

I was having to trim my case mouths every go-round. I ended up scrapping brass because of length, no trouble with case//head separation, not touble with loose primer pockets, I was probably getting about 10 reloads per hull before they got too short.

Good luck.
