mossberg 500c single action rod

My brother called me to see if I could find an action rod for his shotgun.
It's an old beat-up farm shotgun he bought used in his teens, but it's got a lot of sentimental value to him, and I was wondering....
Where to find a part for this strange duck?
It's apparently (I haven't seen it in 20 years...) got a single action rod unlike the newer style that's a double.
Who would have these? as I don't think mossberg sells 'em anymore.
I'm gonna go over to his place maybe next week and take the gun apart to see if it's just that rod, or maybe something else is broke.
Who knows? Maybe it just came loose, and can be tightened up?
Anybody else dealt with this before?

The first thing I'd do is contact Vic Havlin at havlinsales.com.

He carries a lot of old Mossberg parts and if he don't have it he may be able to tell you where to get it.

Bookmarked for when I see exactly what I need. Thanks.
The 2 local smiths in town say parts just aren't available.

It's the short style single rod for a 20 gauge, the link you got is the right part for sure, but it's listed as 'sold out'.
I may give them a call anyway.....

Try Here Too

Try Bob's also. His site states that they occassionally get a single arm assembly in.
