G20 Frame Wear Mark from Aftermarket Guide Rod/Spring

I noticed this wear mark (circular shaped mark in photos) on the inside of the frame on my new G20 Gen4, using a Lone Wolf stainless steel guide rod and 22lb ISMI spring. This is after only 100 rounds. None of my other 10 or so Glocks have wear marks like this, including the two that have aftermarket steel guide rods. Should I be concerned?

I've seen this on a couple of my Gen 4's, both with and without aftermarket recoil springs. But I've just kept shooting them and haven't had any issues with frame damage beyond that, so it's not something that I'd worry about based on my own experience.

The channel for the recoil spring assembly is fairly tight in that area and some scraping wear isn't unusual.

With the gun disassembled, put the recoil spring in the channel. As long as it can move freely back and forth in the channel there shouldn't be a problem.

I did run about 20 rounds with the factory recoil spring assembly, and after looking closer, I’m not so sure that it didn’t cause it, since it fits tighter in that channel than the aftermarket.

That rail insert was visible when you first took your new pistol out of the box and very common on gen 4 Glocks,nothing you have done has caused this situation.

That’s strange, because none of my other 6 Gen4s have anything like this.

Some do some don't,the plastic got thinner there when the dual stage recoil assembly was integrated in the gen 4s,it's nothing to worry about.
