Which division would I shoot in????

For just a little fuss I can put together a ported S&W 5inch 625 with a C-More scope or a 4inch 686 with the same setup using what I have around the house. Both have tuned actions and are six shot revolvers. I've shot the 686 (it's not ported) with iron sights in IDPA but never in IPSC.

After reading the IPSC rulebook, and taking a lot of Tylenol as a result, I still don't know in which division I would shoot these scoped and compensated revolvers.

Any ideas?

Open, right in there with the 28 shot .38 Supers.
That is the only division that allows compensators and/or optical sights on any action type.

that's what I was afraid of. I knew I couldn't find any mention of an Open Revolver class. I was hoping I had overlooked it in the rulebook.

SO WHAT

You may not win Open, but you'll still be a winner if you go and shoot.

It's not the gun, nor the Class, nor nuthin' but the shootin'..................

Oh yeah, I have shot a fair amount of Open and Limited with a revolver. My .357 magnum makes as much noise as a .38 super and I get to practice my reloads more often.
Go.
Have fun.

Well, we have stock revolver shooters (uh, sort of stock) who do up to 60% of the Open class winners, so maybe with an Open class revovler...
