Where can i find parts for this old gun?
My pap has a .22 cal Stevens break open handgun probably from early decades of 1900s. there isn't a model number, just a serial number.
He needs a hammer spring (which is a leaf spring style).. Any thoughts as to where i could find parts? |

You need to determine what model Stevens Tip-up pistol you mean - as there were several models made (#35, #37, #40, #41, etc, etc).
Most used a similar mainspring, as the models were simply stylistic variations of the same pistol - but a few were different. Some pics of the pistol (including it's sights), and particulars about barrel length, would help. Here's the most common mainspring type: http://www.e-gunparts.com/product.as...SKU=917950&MC= ' |

You can have parts made by a good smith. Try www.johntaylormachine.com and use the contact info. John is very knowledgeable and is a fine gunsmith.
