Nikon or Burris scope?

I have been looking for a new scope for my Browning ShorTrac Hog Stalker in .308Win. I had trouble with a new Vortex (reticle rotated from recoil) and a new Bushnell (bad windage adjustment). I'm now considering a Nikon Prostaff 3-9x50 or a Burris Fullfield Ballistic Plex E-1 3-9x50. The reticle on the Burris is etched into the lens, I don't know how important that is. Price on both almost the same. I don't hunt with this rifle, I love it for throwing lead at steel targets. I'd like your opinions on either of these scopes.

I recommend and use the Burris line almost exclusively. For their price point, they have better glass and they also have a forever warranty.

My only complaint with Burris comes from my Fullfield II that I briefly owned. I hated the way the ocular bell rotated with power adjustment. I keep flip-up covers on all my scopes and that rotation prevented me from using a flip-up on that particular scope.

Doyle: Thanks for your input. Burris has changed up, rotating the power ring no longer causes the eyepiece to rotate. I understand how that would be a nuisance.

Thank you all for your input. I ordered the Burris from Graf's for $200

I have a Prostaff with Nikon mounts, it's very good.

A side note is to have good mounts to keep it zero.

You don't want cheap mounts because that will through off the best of scopes.

I prefer Nikon scopes and always use Leupold rings.
