Evil Roy innards.

I've been looking around for another single action and handled a Cimarron Evil Roy the other day. The fit, finish and function were definately better than my plain Model P's (which I like a lot) but I can't seem to find any details on the "improved internals" the website talks about (and every other review parrots). I know the springs are probably upgraded but cannot find any real specifics. Is it just higher quality springs and an action job or has the frame been drilled and retrofited with a coil? Anyone have any pics or first hand knowledge?

j, thanks for the link. I figured it would come to that. I'm gonna give Cimarron a call tomorrow. It looks like the main internal departure from an original SAA is a coil hand spring. However, this appears to be part of Cimarrons "Cowboy Comp action" That all Model P's have. So that part is not unique to the ER model. That said, there are at least 4 different hand springs (two flat and two coil) listed in the parts diagram.

In the end I'm just trying to stay as true to the original as I can so I may just go with an "old model" P and send it to LongHunter to slick up.

I like Longhunter too. SASS has done much for people like me who like single action firearms.
