Looking for a good 9mm load

Does anyone have a good load for 9mm with 124 Rainer jhp? I'd like to load for best accuracy and IDPA minor

Lyman suggests between 3.3 and 3.7gr of 700X for equivilant cast bullets. I use 3.5 of 700X. Quantrill

oh yeah

Powders: 3N37 / WAP (Ramshot Silhouette) / HS6 / Power Pistol

Primers: CCI500

Case: any, sized

Crimp: gentle, as little as possible

OAL: reliable in YOUR launch platform(s), but longer is often better (due to normally lower pressure; closer to throat; some other stuff).

Hard to argue with 6.0g Power Pistol

I second 918v's recommendation of Winchester Super Field. However, I need only 4.8gr Super Field (with WSP primers) to get 1,060 fps using Remington and Montana Gold FMJ in my CZ-85.

Plated bullets need a little less powder than FMJ to reach the same velocity.

I suggest starting at 4.6 to 4.8 gr. WSF.

Hodgdon Universal, VV N-320, and IMR 4756 also give good results for target 9mms.

My recipe for a good load.
Any big name commercially produced JHP weighing enough to shoot under 1050 while making power factor and nominal pressure.
That's so the bullet doesn't have to contend with dropping from supersonic to subsonic during it's flight.
I shoot JHP for practice because all my ammo is practice ammo, plinking ammo, and hunting ammo. I don't change anything once I've standardized on a load.
For me, that's winchester 147 grain JHP bullets.
I use all the same headstamp in my loads, but it has become apparent to me that it's really not that important.
Use any primer that offers consistant ignition, and your priming system gets along with. For me, that's CCI.
There are definate winners and losers in the best powder for 9mm category.
From personal experience, here are the powders on my short list:
Powder pistol, WSF, HS-6, unique. (Top tier, best of the best.)
Don't puss out on 9mm, load 'em pretty close to book max, they shoot best there.

...and I use 5.6 gr. of Unique under a 115gr bullet. Either Laser-Cast lead, or Ranier plated.
