Brandy, how often do you buy a new battery? Every year? Every two years?
Maybe I'm a complete idiot, but I don't buy a battery unless it goes bad. And I sure as heck don't buy one to fix a bad starter or alternator. I guess I could keep proactively replacing all those parts in case they fail, but I might as well buy a new car, and I see those on the hook all the time, too. In any case, I took the OP to mean that he made up the story about a weak battery. As for tattoos, I don't have any, but I never saw this as something a criminal does. One of my coworkers has some tattoos, another guy I used to work with had a Chu Lai tattoo. I don't automatically assume anyone with a tattoo must be a criminal. As for the OP, if I can't strike up a conversation with a stranger with my car next to me and a pistol in my pocket without being paranoid, the world's probably not worth saving any more. |

Well, it looks like the original topic got lost in the shuffle and things are getting just way too personal.
I've also noted that a few newbies here seem to have a history of making things too personal. Those few definitely need to re-read the rules, because trust me, you're on thin ice. Personal attacks will not be tolerated on TFL . This one's closed.
