You don't. If you no longer wish to participate, simply stop visiting and your account will go dormant.

Deleting an account would mean that the ex-member's posts disappeared, potentially wreaking havoc with the intelligibility of threads where the person has posted.
As noted at the bottom of each page, posts made here are the copyrighted property of TFL.
