Tried to pick up some .35 Rem Leverevolution ammo. My local shop wanted $50/box. Prices haven't stabilized.

L&M in Hayward has had a steady trickling supply of 9mm, .22 LR, and shotgun ammo, the 9mm I've seen was all Winchester, Aguila, and CCI aluminum cased 115 gr ball in boxes of fifty ranging from $12.99 for the CCI to $20.99 for the Winchester whilst the same exact stuff from certified price gougers such as SGammo, CTD, and ATG would easily set you back $60.00 a box of same plus ludicrous shipping costs! I used to buy tens of thousands of rounds from the likes of SG and ATG, never again! L&M usually has shelves filled with 9mm twice each month with any of the above, though of course it swiftly runs out, nonetheless, they are true Americans to the marrow.

About 19,000 cities in the Continental US. It seems common now for someone to report that one Place, one LGS etc, in one City or Town that they found a deal and now believe prices are coming down or stabilizing or the market is becoming normal. Or maybe what is going on now is the NEW normal for years to come.

Went to a gun show in NE TN this A/M, lots of ammo available. Good news; it seems to be coming out of the woodwork BAD news prices being "asked" is still high but declining. Hoarders may be begining to question thier long term wisdom of contrived scaricity. Guns availabilty was moderate but prices are still at least 25% ABOVE pre-Covid. Didn't buy anything except a hot dog.

The local BiMart had Winchester .223 ammo the other day, a box of 20 for 12 bucks. It's the first ammo I've seen in months and I was lucky to be at the store while they still had some. The limit was 2 but I only bought one...

Las Vegas not well supplied and triple expensive. Please show me I'm wrong!! I'd love 22lr, 380 fmj and 9mm!

The best way to look at is it is online pricing.

Seems better but no where close to 2019 pricing.

I stopped at Scheels today on a lark just to see if there was any ammo. I hadn’t purchased ammo in 6 months so figured things might’ve eased up on the supply side. Nope. Shelves were practically bare. Usually scheels has a decent assortment of hunting rounds and they barely had any of that. I think they mostly had 12 and 20 ga shotgun rounds but that was about it. Of course, it’s Sunday so I shouldn’t be too surprised. I’m assuming they get ammo deliveries several times a week so perhaps a weekday might yield better results

Shelves are pretty bare in central Iowa, and I just drove 3200 miles to Texas and back, didn't stop at a lot of stores, but no one had anything, unless you wanted some odd Weatherby or Lapua rounds. I'm watching for powder, 308/ 30-06 friendly, and my LGS gets a few cans trickling in every week, mostly shotgun powders, but I did pick up a pound of Accurate 2700 for msrp.

The places I have found ammo at a decent price is CAL Ranch, and Sportsman's Warehouse. They never have much and limit you to a box of ammo but the prices are good. I picked up a box of 45 acp at Sportsman last week, 100 rounds 230gr ball. It was $57. and some pennies. Not the best price but not gouging.

Well, if Gunbroker is an indicator, the panic buying/hoarding/gouging is waning. Just got 100 20g Truball slugs shipped for about $40 under retail. Some things are higher still, but prices are coming down. Seeing ammo (1 or 2 box limits) in the local shops as well. Some are offering 100 rounds for purchase with a compatible firearm.

After yesterday's events, I would imagine the hoarders are going to be out in force. I've got a range session this upcoming weekend, I'll report back what I see at my LGS.

I was in a pawn shop in Bullhead City a couple days ago and they had a lot of ammo. I asked about their 9mm and the clerk told me it was $36 sumtin per box of fifty with a limit of eight boxes per person.

shelves in my area are still pretty much empty. No factory ammo, no components. No relief in sight.

Was in Scheels Monday. Some ammo and components. Prices are still falling on GB. Local Gun Shop, Tuesday morning, was almost fully stocked and had normal prices.

I suspect ALL of that will be gone by Friday with the shooting in Boulder.

An interesting editorial on a major news network one or two days ago had positive things to say.

The present >> Senate filibuster << situation, means that as things now stand, the Dems can't have any real chance of accomplishing any of their objectives.

* I'm only describing what was in the editorial.

Let's remember that the word "hysteria" is linked to the word "hysterectomy" (womb, anxiety etc).

Lol, NO, not even close to normal. And it will get worse. God only knows what civil unrest will bring out this Summer. 180 in just 2020 alone.

April 2021 proved to be the 16th consecutive month of record National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) checks for firearm sales and transfers.

FBI figures show that 3,514,070 checks were performed in April, which is more than any other April in history.

The previous record for the month of April, set in April 2020, was 2,911,128 checks.

I'm seeing a very slight increase in ammo availability locally. However, I'm starting to become a believer in the "conspiracy theory" that there are deep secret agreements between our beloved government and ammo manufacturers keeping the lid on ammo sales. I can believe ammo being horded but that's when you see it on the shelf for a few hours and it's gone after a shipment comes in. When I have not seen A SINGLE SMALL PISTOL PRIMER for sale other than the gougers on gunbroker IN ALMOST A YEAR, something nefarious is going on.

Primer production is going to in-house cartridge production or to other full cartridge producers per their contracts. Remington's legacy ammunition manufacturing has exited bankruptcy and now restarted under its new owners.

Federal on their site has doubled availability and dropped to $26 for 9mm. I am getting emails from Atlanta and Freedom again.

Academy Sports had a bunch of ammo behind the counter at somewhat normal prices yesterday. Still have limits.

I was in a Walmart today and they had 20 bricks of 325 packs limit 2.

Rural King in Lexington, KY had a whole shelf full of ammo 22 bricks, 30-30, 243, 100 count boxes of 9mm and 6.5 Creed Limit two boxes per person

I actually scored a box of 30-30 win ammo at my local pawn shop when I picked up my rifle. $34 for a box of 20. Ouch. But, all the big box stores in town had zero 30-30 win ammo so I saw it as a win.

As for online, prices seem to have gone down only slightly for 9mm at about .50/round. 5.56/223 seems about the same as it was 8-9 months ago when I last bought some at .70 to .75/round

Scored 5 boxes of 9mm and some 30-30 today.

Never shot any of this red tipped stuff by Federal. At $17.99 per box I figure it was worth giving some a try.
