what I would carry if it were legal in my state)
My dad's Colt M1991A1 Compact, in a homemade SmartCarry/Thunderwear type rig, of which I am quite proud. It also holds a spare mag w/ 7 rounds Winchester 230 gr FMJ. I am 5' 10", scant 150 pounds and generally am in either dress pants and aloha shirt, or shorts and t-shirt, sometimes just shorts, and you can't tell by looking whether I'm carrying. Quick-draw is a little problematic, but I'm working on it.

The first time I posted in this thread...
...was over a year ago and I was just starting to consider carrying a firearm. AT the time the only carry gun I had was the .357mag RugerSP101.
I thought I would take a minute and update that post. Now a year later I carry regularly and I have several firearms that I alternate between depending on dress and occasion. Left top to bottom right: .45acp Para ordnance Slim Hawg, .38spl+p S&W m637, .380acp Seecamp LWS380, .357mag S&W m60, .380acp NAA Guardian, .357mag Ruger SP101, .40S&W Kahr MK40, .38spl+p S&W m642, and .380 Walther PPK |

In summer, I carry a G26 loaded with Federal Hydrashok JHP with spare 10 round mag. I never feel undermanned.
Winter carry is the G19 loaded with same ammo, and 15 rnd spare mag. |

If it's a cool day, a Ruger Birdshead grip SSA 45 colt. If it's a hot day a Colt auto 380.

These days, a slim, handy, and accurate 5" 1911 (Kramer IWB#2) and an also handy & accurate S&W J frame (home made pocket holster) provide comfort while buying ice cream at the local family grocery store.
