Alliant Reloader 10X for .223?
I've bought a can out of necessity and my local shop now has more. First batch from first can shot and chrono'd fine. Haven't seen it mentioned - especially in the 'favorite .223 powder' thread. Any expert thoughts on 10X?
thanks |

I shoot it in my .223 with 34-55 grain bullets very accurate, some of the first lots were very dirty, but they changed it to burn better. In my .204 Ruger it is the go-to powder that's hard to find.
You are lucky to find it as most websites don't list any. 1-12 twist to 1-8 .223 Lake city brass Fed 205 primers 53 V-max or the 52 match HP's Reloader 10X Just curious, what is the MFG date on the bottle?

Yeah, I tried it and couldn't believe the fouling. Bad Ju-Ju so I did not go back for more.

I quit using it several years ago because of the almost impossible to remove fouling. The newer powder is supposed to be different.

I bought 10x to try in .223, just couldn't get into it. Fill is less than most other powders, hard to find load data other than Alliant. Accuracy wasn't any better than other powders. For that range of powders, I use Benchmark or AA2230. I love R15 as well.
