where do you guys buy your goodies?

Im all the time looking for gun gear, tactical accessories, survival equip, lasers, flashlights, ammo, hunting gear, you name it, etc. The 2 places I go the most are probably ebay and sportsmansguide, just wondering if anybody had some good sights theyve found they want to share. I used to like cheaperthandirt, but lately they seem to be out of stock on everything, and their shipping charges are outrageous.

Good kit, websites...

There are a few decent military & LE gear/uniform/outdoor websites.
I'd AVOID the smaller chains or "start-ups".
I'm all for small business or supporting new firms but I can honestly tell you a lot of these outfits are sketchy and you may buy products or gear that is sub-standard.
A good SOP to follow is order a small item or clothing; under $20.00 USD & gauge the company's quality/customer service.
A few "big names" I'd suggest include www.USCav.com www.Galls.com www.QMuniforms.com www.PoliceHQ.com www.LLBean.com www.cheaperthandirt.com www.Natchezss.com www.Brownells.com www.Blackhawk.com www.MidwayUSA.com www.Cabelas.com .

I know this site is relaively new but http://www.gunstuff4you.com/ is my suggestion. You also won't get the multiple warehouse shipping charges like CTD. Customer Service issues are handled by the owner.

I get most my stuff (holsters, clothing, work related stuff) from www.lapolicegear.com and www.galls.com. Galls seems to be more expensive but they carry some stuff LA Police Gear doesn't. If I'm ordering just gun parts/accessories, I order from Brownells or Midway.

I have purchased a fair bit of stuff from CMC Government Supply (http://www.cmcgov.com/)

They are geared up a supplier for governments, Federal, State, & Local but they do sell to individuals. They are not as customer service oriented as a traditional consumer company would be but in my experience service is good. On certain items I found CMC supply is the lowest cost I can find anywhere on the net.

I mostly buy from www.opticsplanet.com and their sister site, www.tactical-store.com . I've also been pleased with www.grafs.com .

Free shipping on every order - FAST to the east coast from L.A. Claim to beat or meet any price, but their customer service by phone sucks. Their web order system was flawless.

Milsurp: try http://www.classicfirearms.co/ These guys have some great russian and east euro stuff for dirt cheap. Got two exceptionally clean Mosin 91-30s for under 100 each plus spam can ammo under $80. Noted they had Del-Ton complete uppers for a song. Web page is poorly put together but worth leafing through just for the fun factor.

Big ups to Duluth Trading...

I'd give praise to the website/retail source; Duluth Trading.
They aren't in the PSC/milspec game or directly for armed citizens but they offer decent products, clothes & service.
The firm just started to air ads nationwide but has been around for years.
See: www.duluth-trading.com .
