Help with choosing Colt Government 1911 Holster
I recently purchased a Colt Government 1911 and am looking for a holster for it. I am going to be carrying it strong-side and a thumb break strap is needed. A forward cant is prefered and I do not have a preference as to IWB or OWB. What do you recomend? Thanks.

I used a Fobus paddle for my 1911, I loved it, you might look at some of Uncle Mikes, they have thumb straps..... EBAY has a buch of holsters for
1911's. it is a good place to get ideas as to what is out there.

Why do you insist on a thumb break strap?
Don't get me wrong - I'm a huge fan of the retention level a thumb break provides... but there are other very acceptable retention devices available. After finding Blackhawk's CQC holster with Serpa retention, I'm an avid fan of those too and always recommend them.

I like my HighNoon holsters. Don't forget to look into a sturdy gun belt.
