Carl Gustaf 6.5*55
Hey guys,
Great forum here. I picked up an old swed and im trying to get some info on it. It a Carl Gustaf Ober??????? 1904 with a serial number of 148177. Does anyone know where I can look up the serial number or have any info on it at all. Thanks for the help. |

Your serial number places the date of manufacture in late 1904 or perhaps early 1905 (my serial number list isn't very complete) made in the C. Gustaf factory.
However, the manufacturing facility and the date that the receiver was manufactured will be marked on the receiver ring. I believe that all the Oberndorf Swedes were made prior to 1901.

www.surplusrifleforum.com has a Swedish Mauser forum. Probably can look at their archives and stickys and figure out alot of info on it. But don't stay there. Come back here and enjoy a wealth of information on these forums too!
