9mm Shield carry ammo choice?

I've been using Gold Dot Short Barrel in 124gr.

Friend of mine has been trying to get me to go with 147gr.w

What is your preferred carry ammo in your Shield and why?

124gr Gold Dot. Why--because it's proven and works as advertised.

Stay with 124gr. Gold Dot, Golden Sabre, HST... they're all good stuff.

I've never had good expansion results with 147. 115 or 124 - +P if you can find it. I really like the 124gr +P Golden Sabres

i use Hornady Critical Defense. Extremely low flash in a Glock 19 and a Kahr PM9, both short barreled pistols.

For my S&W M&P 9c and Walther PPS, I use Speer Gold Dot 124 gr. +P for short barrels. Hard to find here though. I also stock Gold Dot 124 gr. +P.

I have been using for some time now the 147 grain + P Federal HST. It is giving excellent expansion in my testing so far on trapped feral hogs. Recoil is not bad and the end result is exceptional compared to others I have also tested. Only other round I will use is the 124 grain + P Speer Gold Dot. Its a very good round but I am getting better results from the HST.

Compact 9x19mm rounds....

If it were me, I'd tote: Hornady Critical Duty 135gr +P, Speer Gold Dot +P 124gr JHP, PowRball, Ranger T T series 124gr +P JHP, Golden Saber bonded +P 124gr JHP, Corbon DPX.

Many gun & tactics instructors advise using factory made LE grade rounds. Smart idea.
