Grip Safety for Sistema Colt
Does anyone know if the McCormick beavertail grip safety will drop into a 1927 Sistema Colt with little to no modification? If not can someone recommend a good drop in safety?
Thanks, KPS |

The Sistema Colt frame is the same as any of the US Colts of the same period (and of all the 1911A1's produced up until the number of makers mushroomed) and I don't think that a McCormick "beavertail" GS will drop in with out frame modifications. Kings http://www.kingsgunworks.com and Wilson http://www.wilsoncombat.com offer drop in GSs that are not the curved up duck's butt style but are the original flat, broad beavertail (like a real beaver's tail).
Also check Brownell's http://www.brownells.com on line catalog for a large number of GS styles. Some drop in and some not.
