I believe a full choke will work for both,,use only rifled slugs if you have a smooth bore barrel,,

In general you'll get best slug performance from Improved Cylinder. Buckshot performance varies from barrel to barrel and load to load. Some prefer more open choke, some more constrictive. Modified is a good compromise usually for buckshot. May not work too bad for slugs either.
I'd try both of your chosen loads in both IC and Mod at various ranges you expect to use them and go from there. What is your intended purpose for the slugs and buckshot? Hunting or defense?

I would try Modified first for buckshot. I typically get blown patterns with the full choke. Shot pellets deform and you get a pattern with a hole in it.

Typical choke to use for rifled slugs is improved cylinder. You may need to take your shotgun to the range and see which choke performs best with both loads as you want to use both slugs and buckshot. You might have to compramise. The only warning I have run into is that a full choke with slugs can lead to lead fowling and poor accuracy.

I believe that Remington went to IC in their police models specifically because they felt it gave better patterns with buckshot and was also better for shooting slugs. Is that right?
