FN Browning 1903 Part Search

Hello,

New to the forum, but not to older guns.

I have recently resurrected an FN Browning 1903 from the ashes... literally. It supposedly went through a home fire. I got it running again and I have plans to convert it back to 9mm Browning Long and then re-blue it.

My sticking point is the lanyard loop. It's missing on this gun and I'd like to get one put back in before I blue it.

Does anyone know where I can find a replacement?

Not much to be found for the 1903 at Numrich. I believe the Husqvarna 1907 is identical, possibly one could find parts for it?

Perhaps a ring could be made unless you need the frame attachment as well or want an authentic piece.

The frame attachment?

It doesn't appear to much room on the other side of the for any attachments.

It doesn't have to be authentic, just look the part and be somewhat functional. I ordered some loops from a web site that specializes in old war guns and they were way too small. I have a 1911 loop, the pin in variety, on order. If it's close enough I'll try to machine it down to fit.

I did buy an aftermarket magazine for it too, and that thing is awful.

I meant there is an attachment/part that is part of the frame that the ring loops thru and then the ring itself. I didn't know if you needed both pieces.
