How are those Cimarron/Ubertis? I kept seeing
a 38 SPL birdshead at the gun shows which
is very attractive. But is it a decent gun?

Howdy,

Ubertis are generally good guns, and Cimmarons are the best of the lot. Cimmaron has special requirements as far as finishing goes, and Uberti builds the guns to those specs. I shoot Uberti 1875 Remingtons, and they've worked fine for me.
