.454 bullets in Rossi M92

I am looking at buying a Rossi M92 in 45 Colt and have an older Ruger
Blackhawk that has oversized throats and likes .454 bullets. I cast and shoot RCBS 45-270-SAA bullets. Any problem shooting these in the Rossi?

I have a Rossi M92 in 45 Colt too. Shot 100 rounds of copper plated to break it in and help remove any rifling burrs, smooth out the bore some. After that, 5 rounds of lead .454 255 SWC and it seemed to take it fine. I don't have a bore scope to see how much lead is at the leade but the exit end of the barrel had little to no deposts.

Thanks

I was waffling between the 45 Colt at my LGS and a 44 mag at another LGS. After consulting my son, he pointed out that the 44 magnum was far superior because he owns two pistols in 44 and no 45 Colts, and could borrow the new gun if I bought a 44. I took his considered advice and bought the 44, since he often lends me his 460XVR.

You are welcome.. 44 Mag would be my choice too if I already had matching revolvers. Good to have a son you can share 44 Mag range time. I think you will enjoy the Rossi

Note - stevesgunz and some SASS forums have information if you choose to slick it up. I left mine as is except smoothed the loading gate a little since it was sharp on the fingers.
