Berrys hollow base bullets

Anyone use these for 45acp? Thinking about getting a box and checking them out. Right now I use their hollow points.

I haven't tried them in the 45acp, but they work great in the 9mm

Sorry, but I've only used the 9mm hollow base Berry's. I do like those. The concept seems to be based on

1. more forward mass for the bullet
2. longer profile giving longer contact area in the barrel
3. perhaps bottom skirt expansion, yielding better bore obduration (seal) preventing gas escape past the bullet

Berry's 185 HBRN

I've loaded few hundred of those with HP-38. I'll dig up my chrono results and get back to you.

I've been through a few thousand of the 185gn HBRN .45's
My favorite load is whatever my Lee .53 disk drops of 231. My notes say that's around 5.9gn, but don't trust that, of course.

loaded about 5000-7500 of the 185 hbrn berrys i absolutely love them. I use 4.1 grains of bullseye and they shoot super smooth. very low recoil but amazing accuracy and consistency. After shooting these i actually discontinued buying 230 grain rn bullets as the lighter 185's just seem to be inherently better.

I bought 15000 when they had a large batch of the blemished first run bullets. so im assuming the non blem bullets will shoot even better

I love 'em. Very consistent and accurate. Also kick a little less.
