Suppressors on Piston operated actions...?
Have a couple of piston operated AR's, one is a rifle and the other is a pistol. Currently waiting on stamp approvals and wondering if there are mechanical issues that may occur?

Nope. I've mounted my AAC SDN-6 on both my Ruger SR556 and SR762. Both tan just fine. I will say though, if your piston setup has a setting for suppressed use it. They create a lot of back pressure. If yours don't have this setting it will more than likely be over gassed.

I'll say the piston uppers aren't as "clean" as I'd expected(hoped for). There's still some blowback but not nearly as much as the DI operation. My new Adams Arms 16" middy piston upper works well muffled with the knob set in the suggested suppressor position.
