The Jennings, Raven and Baby Browning look alike?
In that each has grips, a frame and a slide-yes. Sort of like how a Volkswagen looks like a Firebird.
Otherwise they look nothing alike!

The raven is a better pistol than the Jennings. And yes I've owned both. I had a Jennings for 20 years and the Raven is much better. The 25 is also a better pistol cartridge than the 22.

"The 22 is more powerful than the 25."

No, it isn't. You're reading RIFLE ballistics compared to 2" pistol ballistics.
The .22 LR develops maximum velocity in a 13-16" barrel. Cut that back to 2" and those readings drop drastically.
Also, the .22 is shooting a lighter, lead bullet.
The .25 acp uses a jacketed bullet ( they feed more reliably)and centerfire ignition is much more reliable than rimfire.

Does anyone know if the slide from the Jennings fits the Raven?

Three pages of advice about the little Jennings J-22. What other gun can generate some much passion in people?

Hey Bill, I didn't realize that and guess what? Paul Harrell solved it for us.

Centerfire ignition trumps rimfire ignition. Mic drop.

A .22 vs .25 caliber cartridge isn't going to make nearly as much difference as where you aim it!

I see no difference between a .22 and a .25 or even a .32 for that matter. They're guns and when you produce a gun, any gun, a lot of situations end right there because most people don't like the idea of getting shot. So they end most situations just by being in your hand at the right time. But if things do go sideways you have to be precise with your shooting with each one of them and that is tough in a stressful situation. But not everybody is going to carry a .45 all the time.

I have never owned one so I could not comment one way or the other. One thing I do hate internet Pro's that put down a gun they never once owned.

I'm going to assume Carl was referring to me.
Whether I'm an "Internet Pro" or not, I have seen ,owned, and worked on more guns than most people.

Bill, do you sell switchblades? I didn't see a price list. Oh, and have you ever worked on a Jennings? Are they basically the same as a Raven? Same slide?

I had one with 4 mags. 2 of the mags ran almost flawlessly, 2 of them had jam problems like yours.

Can't really help with fixing the reliability, other than what's already been suggested. Clean, lube, and use good ammo.

I only sell custom switchblades.
The Raven and Jennings slides don't interchange.

Sorry Bill, but your assumption is wrong. I was just talking in general about how so many folks do in fact put down guns that they never shot nor owned. In fact a whole thread could be devoted to this. Sorry you thought I was referring to you personally, I was not.

Thank God for cheap guns. Otherwise I wouldn't own any.
