M1 Carbine Trigger Assembly

How do you take the trigger/firing pin assembly apart? My gun has been hitting rounds with minute force lately, which is why I want to figure out what the problem is.

Go here for a free downloadable manual. Note the need for the provided UN & PW. http://www.biggerhammer.net/manuals/
When you look at the trigger group, do you see any obvious damage? There's likely no need to take the trigger group apart. You may have crud in the bolt. Give it a really good bath before you do anything.
Getting the hammer spring back in can be daunting.
