I found Independence 9mm at my LGS the other day, $13.95 per box...but limit of 3 boxes per caliber per person per day, so I bought 3. Went back the next day, it was all gone.

They still sell ammo in stores? I haven't seen any in ages, thought maybe they stopped carrying it.

I bought ammo for my antique french lebel revolver.

In a thread from 2009 that was resurrected yesterday,,,
I saw where MrBorland had posted a link.

It was for Fiocchi brand ammo for my 8mm Lebel Revolver.

I don't shoot it much because ammo is very hard to find,,,
I had been buying reloaded ammo from gadcustomcartridges.com.

Imagine my surprise when I clicked the link and the new Fiocchi ammo was in stock,,,
I immediately raided my Mad Money Fund and bought myself 200 rounds.

Man oh man that was fortuitous happenstance,,,
I am glad that a brand new member resurrected this old thread.

Bought 300 rounds of CCI Mini-Mag .22lr High velocity from Targetsportsusa.com.

Since I am not a hoarder, I did not buy it all. Here is a link to the stuff:

https://www.targetsportsusa.com/p-89...mmunition.aspx

Get it while it's there!

EDIT: Sold out. Hope you got some.

300 rounds of Federal .223 (by way of three 100-round boxes) at Wal-Mart of all places! Mills Fleet Farm has been stocking comparable boxes of American Eagle .223 and Blazer Brass pistol calibers on a fairly regular basis too.

bought some TULA .40 at walmart

never stooped so low. Never tried it but it was cheap ($15/box of 50) Friendly fellow walmart ammo shopper informed me it would blow up my gun.

No, I only have a little over 20,000 rounds stockpiled. Surely those guys have more than that.

Sold 7 boxes of 500 S&W factory ammo & ordered a Crate of 7.62x54r with money to spare.

The 54r seems to be one of the few ammo types that is still widely available at low prices.

Online dealer that I had clicked "email me when available" popped up with 9mm ammo (1,000 round lots). I just happened to have the email open when it popped. Jumped over and ordered (at a markeup but not out of line with others at this point). By the time the notification hit my email, a further one followed that the line had been closed again. Checking the dates, that had been able to keep the thing open for less than 30 minutes before they were out again. Wow.

On the positive with that I'm generally good for the next 6 months. Things will calmed down by then I think.

I'm half expecting them to start using the shelf space for something else until they start getting ammo in again.
My Wal-Mart has allocated half of its (small) ammo case to fishing reels. I guess the few boxes of ammo left were getting lonely or something.

I almost feel sorry for you guys paying 30-40 cents or more for common 9mm and .45ACP plinking rounds. Reloading is the way to go, even when the finished ammo prices were lower.

If you don't save money on brass (aka assume it just disappears) how much money does it typically cost you per round of 9mm?

Found some 7.62x39 Tula for $5.99 at the local WalMart. 3 box limit was in effect which is probably the only reason they had any. Took 3 of them home. The lady with the key to the cabinet said before the limit went into effect a fellow came in and bought all 45 boxes in stock.

There was at least one box of every pistol caliber except 9mm, plenty of rifle. Plenty of CCI .22 Stinger and Remington .22 Short. Really did not need any of those so I left some for the next guy.

45acp instock @ SGAmmo

Just bought a case of 45ACP from SGAmmo for 0.45 per round. Only 33 cases left at 1600 central time.

Primer and powder would be better, but that ain't happening now is it?

Bought 175 rounds of Federal 12g 2 3/4" 00 Buck in a steel ammo can for $115 today at a local shop.

The same shop had CCI Stingers for $6.99/100 rounds. I skipped those.

Was at my lgs looking for an iwb holster for my glock 30 and casually asked if they had any .45 acp or .22lr rounds. No luck on the .45 rounds but I did manage to snag 250 rounds of CCI standard 40gr .22lr.

Screw it, i'm gonna hoard as much as I can. If ya can't beat em, join em.

Just picked up 3 boxes of Remington standard target .22lr while at Dunham's browsing the wares. I felt I had hit the lottery. Its the first .22lr of any kind I've seen on a shelf since New Years Day.

Visited a larger city today over an hour away and hit Scheels, Gander, and Farm & Home, no 9mm or 7.62x39 anywhere but lots of .380 and .45 at each place.
.22 LR there were none anywhere which was suprising as around home it is in good supply. Scheels and Gander had every type of primer but small pistol.

Bought 2 boxes of Winchester 150 grain 30.06 at 18.99 ea,

My score was 200 9mm 115 grain Win JHP bagged bullets for 5 bucks less than on the net. They were hiding under some dusty factory bagged Win .270 brass.
