338/348 ackley improved

Trying to find info on the 338/348 ackley improved cartridge.I assume it's a 348 necked down to 338,but would like any info including reloading data

RCBS has a listing for dies, but I think it would not be very much sugar for a dime. In a lever gun, you won't come up to 338 Fed or 338-06 ballistics.

I'm sure the loading information would be in Ackley's reloading manuals. some of the loads for different calibers are kind of on the hot side so beware. Midway probably has the books and there are 2 volumes. a lot of good information in them
