Acceptable Ejection Distance?

i've been shooting 230 gr lrn @ 850'/s. what would be a normal distance for the brass to land? mine go about 15'. i have a german p220 with the braided green recoil spring; made in '95. it has ~2k flawless rounds. thank you

I think that is about right...maybe a bit far. I'm more concerned how consistent the hit the ground point is. You might try a new recoil spring as this distance is a sign of action speed on a proven good gun. When the spring gets too weak, there will be other issues...

For normal load 230gr, 15' seems a little far. You might want a new recoil spring. I now use a 17.5 lb. progressive type recoil spring on my Colt 1911. Works good for me, but every gun is different.

Sorry, maybe I was answering for 1911's. May not apply to your gun.

For a H&K P7 15' is quite normal . Great for hitting ROs who don't pay attention to your comments !

Try a Ruger Mini 30 anywhere in the county is good! My cases end up forward and about 30 feet away. Its fun at the range....

My Beretta 92 drops them all in a nice neat little pile about 10' over my right shoulder. Such a neat pile I usually just set a bucket where they are likely to land

Just curious, what exactly are you concerned about? As long as they are ejecting, I wouldn't worry much about how far.

Acceptable ejection distance? Anywhere out of the chamber is acceptable for me
