Closest I can get is BRF was Aug 94 and CAM was Jan 96, so BUE is somewhere in between.

Cool, a test!

It's a .44 Hand Ejector 3rd Model.
Serial numbers ran from 28358 in 1926 to 61412 in 1941.

1980 - the sn range that year was from 57K0001 to 91K6800. The 14-4 was manufactured from 1977 to 1982 when the Model 14 was temporarily discontinued. Production started again in 1991 with the 14-5 and was later discontinued (again) in 1999.

There's a bit of a gap in the sequential listing right where BSP would fall. The book shows BRF as August 1994 and CAM as Jan 1996, with no detail in-between. I think it's safe to assume late 1994, possibly but less likely 1995.

Oh dear!

Another pinned and recessed S&W revolver followed me home...

...this one is a 66-1, stainless, 357 Mag, # 57K93XX.

Would someone be so kind as to help me with the birth-date of this beautiful piece of art.

Smith & Wesson Model 60 Serial Number Request

I was given this revolver by a retired private investigator. It's a model 60 and the s/n is R133xxx and it's in like new condition. Does anyone know an approximate date of manufacture?

Thanks in advance

Looks to be 2004 - your SN is right at the end of the listing in the book, which shows CHM as July 2004, then jumps to listing some 3-letter codes used in various years for special runs of particular models.
