First, sounds like you have a nice conversation piece, as well as a nice gun. Second, regarding the pics, take a look at this sticky thread: https://thefiringline.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=292842.

If you choose to use a third-party hosting site, by all means stay away from Photobucket --- no reason to go into details but everyone here will likely tell you the same thing. I am now using imgur.com. Among other things, it allows you to crop or resize your photos so you don't try to display an inappropriately large photo.

hacker, are you lucky enough to have one with the FBI-unique grip? Those grips are supposed to be so rare they are only traded by elves riding unicorns.

My 1076 was identical to the FBI version, to include the two dots under the decocking lever which indicated it got the trigger-sear upgrade that resulted from the FBI unhappiness. (I think it was some sort of trigger-sear upgrade.) But I was able to check serial number ranges and find that mine didn't actually serve with the FBI.

I found the pistol to be heavy and top-heavy and just not right for me. But I have some magazines for sale if you are interested.

Congrats on a fine pistol, my 1076 was my first 10mm and my first S&W auto. I liked it so much I also picked up a 1006 to go along with it, they are built like tanks and have shot every 10mm ammo I have run through them just fine. Congrats again on the fine addition.

Bart Noir I may be interested in the mags if the OP is not. Just P.M. me a price if he passes. Thanks.

Any of the S&W 10XX-series of third Gens are a lot of fun, and they'll
handle even the hottest 10mm loads properly

Hunting Deer or Hog with 'em is a BLAST!
