UTG Tactical OP 1 Bipod

Recently installed one of these on my Ruger 10/22 setup. Pretty solid and for the price I believe I can trust it for the light duty. I have a question about the panning feature, however. The unit seems pretty stiff and when I get behind the scope and trying to swivel left and right its not very responsive. For those of you that use one, is there something you have to adjust or is it just something to live with. Like I said, not really a huge deal as it will be for target shooting mostly, but was wondering.
