the constant struggle between finding something beg enough to be comfortable in my particularly large hands, but small enough to be reasonably concealable.

I'd like a CZ P10C so it's only logical that you would want one, too.

biggest problem I'm having is finding something worth getting in my budget (600) within a reasonable distance. ever since facebook decided to prohibit firearm sales, it really put a damper on finding used guns around here. Armslist is about the only option.
Local dealers know there aren't a whole lot of options, so they jack their prices up wicked high.
Might just go ahead and get something on gunbroker and have it shipped to a local FFL, but then I've got shipping, the FFL fee, and the worst part, the WAIT, hehe, I don't have a ccw right now, so i'd like to get something soon

Hammer or striker?
Steel or polymer?
Thumb safety or no?

IMO it is best to shoot both if possible and not rely on the "feels best".

Be sure to check out the new Gen 5 Glock 19 too.

The XD subcompact loses substantial velocity due to a short barrel and a short amount of rifling, IIRC. Look into muzzle velocities before buying it. Perhaps consider the XDm.

I was, but for whatever reason, it wasn't clear to me that you were actually "on the hunt" for a new pistol.

So what did you get?

I recently sold my "never sell gun" a P229

If I am honest, I dont miss it, Heavy piece of history that was just a little too big to CC

All of my guns have to have a role

They hunt or they carry.

I went to M&Ps on pistols

I really like my M&P40c
