The Benneli M1 Super 90
For homedefense or CQB my shotgun of choice for me is the Benneli M1 Super 90. This is a fantastic shotgun. It uses an inertia recoil system that does a fair job of keeping the gun up and running under the worst circumstances. This gun is the perfect expression of the KISS philosophy.
Once the owner/operator learns the manual of arms for this shotgun, he or she will be lethal inside 25 yards, even against a machine pistol. The manufacturer's claim of five shots in 1.5 seconds are absolutely true. With 2 3/4" double O slugs, you can put 45 .23 caliber shots down rang in a second and a half. It is easy to reload, even while fighting and the M90 has a unique shell loading system which allows one to insert a slug or any other type of lethal munition into the gun. If one wanted to shoot nonleathal muntions, The M3 model will convert to a pump gun with a twist of ring the front of the stock.
