On Saturday, 8 Sept, I ordered a custom 45-70 mould from Tom Ellis @ Accurate Molds

This afternoon, Wednesday 12 Sept, I was casting perfect-diameter/419gr/30-to-1 bullets from it.

This is getting to be a habit w/ those guys.

* In case you're wondering, Tom & his products/quality/service/delivery are the cat's meow.

One man show.

Simple shop.
CNC lathe on the back wall.
(Large) vertical mill to the right.
Work bench in the middle.
Small office space w/ computer to the left.
Sonic cleaner in the front corner.
That's pretty much it, besides some random personal projects on a secondary bench.

Very good molds.
But I'll never buy brass from him again. Multiple bad experiences that he blamed on me, even though the last two set of blocks were warped right off the lathe (I was there) and he 'fixed' them with a hammer; and, again, out of the box (later, replacements).
Good molds, except for the brass.

I have never been disappointed with an Accurate Mold. I have even had a couple of brass ones, but I didn't buy them new, so I can't comment on that. But my new aluminum ones were perfect and made/delivered very fast.
It's a top quality operation if you ask me.

Not the first time I have heard that about Accurate's brass moulds. I buy all my brass moulds from MP Molds in Slovenia. Love being able to create hollowpoint bullets using the Cramer method he uses.

I had an excellent experience with Tom over at Accurate. Ordered a mold for my Mosin rifle and modified it slightly for my needs and had it in a couple weeks, it cast and shoots great.
