S&W M&P PC or Mod 2

I did not want to hijack another thread about .40 to .357 sig in a S&W M&P, but I did read it as that is one of my questions, Just a drop in barrel or is there more to it

My second question is should I start with the M&P Performance Center as my base, or use the Mod 2 as my starting point...and why?

I have shot .40, but not .357 sig, I have shot M&P's in both 9 and .40 and love them. I have not shot a full size Performance Center nor have I shot a Mod 2.

One of the those two will be my next handgun, probably based alot on how you guys chime in.

So...lets decide which gun we should buy! You choose and I pay for it!!

My 2.0 compact is the only over the counter handgun ive ever owned, that i was happy with the trigger as is/out of the box.

Discounting my Wilson 1911. Ive always felt the need to work on the triggers. Not with the 2.0.

First off, thank you.

Even the Performance Center? The Performance Center has an"Enhanced Trigger". Have you shot both?

I was hoping to get some input from somebody who may have shot both the Performance Center 1.0 as well as the base 2.0. In any caliber.

While not quite as smooth as my Colt, my Series 1 Shield Performance Center does have a very nice trigger.

I would go with the Gen 2.

Better trigger, better grip texture, better barrel lockup.

The Gen 2 is statistically 35% better.

But seriously I do think the trigger, texture, and overall build quality of the Gen 2 M&P is better having own a number of both gens. The Gen 2 is also available in a number of sizes, unlike the PC models.

I also talked to a (retired) 160th friend of mine that still does firearms training for them up at Fort C and he has recommended the Gen 2 trigger.
He is a die hard M&P guy and LOVES the trigger of the Gen 2.

He also kinda talked me away from the .357...and back to the 9mm.

I am not sure about the 9mm, I know it's cheaper.

But are you going to buy the V8 or the V6??
